That distinction matters. Our job is not to build trikes. Our job is to find ones worth buying and be honest with you about what they can and cannot do.

Why We Started Unicorn Rus
It started with something we kept hearing from people around us.
Adults in their 60s and 70s who had given up cycling because balancing got harder. People recovering from knee or hip surgery who still wanted to get outside on their own. Retired couples who wanted to explore a campground without borrowing someone's golf cart. Parents who needed a practical way to run errands without starting the car for every short trip.
The trikes existed. But the market was full of listings with vague specs, no safety documentation, and no real support if something went wrong after delivery. That gap is what Unicorn Rus was built to fill.
Who We Serve
Most of our customers are not competitive cyclists. They are people who want to stay active, stay independent, and stay connected to the places and routines that matter to them.
Here is who we hear from most often.
Adults Over 60. Three wheels stay upright on their own. No balancing at stops, no putting a foot down, no tipping on uneven pavement. For many riders, that is the difference between getting outside and staying home. We hear from people who have not been on anything with wheels in years, who ride two miles the first day and five miles by the end of the week. That kind of message is why we do this carefully.
Riders with Mobility Limitations. People managing joint pain, recovering from surgery, or dealing with balance conditions have found that a low step-through electric trike gives them back a kind of freedom they thought they had lost. It is not a medical device. But for the right person, it fills a real gap between a standard bicycle and a mobility scooter.
RV and Camping Travelers. A folding trike fits in a truck bed or large cargo van, handles campground roads comfortably, and makes the trip to the camp store or lake far more enjoyable than walking. Riders bring fishing gear in the rear basket, run errands around the campground, and explore sites they would otherwise skip. This is one of the most practical use cases we hear about, and the folding frame is a big part of why it works.
Neighborhood Errand Riders. Pharmacy, post office, farmers market. Short trips that are not worth starting the car for. The rear basket handles a full grocery run. Three-wheel stability makes it easy to stop, load up, and keep going without dismounting.
What Riding a Trike Actually Feels Like
If you have not ridden a trike before, the first thing most people notice is the stillness. You stop pedaling, and the trike just sits there. No wobble. No reaching for the ground. It stays put.

How We Choose What We Carry
We are a retailer, not a manufacturer. That means our job is selection and accountability, making sure what we put in front of you is actually worth your money and your trust.
Before any model goes live on our site, we require from our suppliers:
- Safety certification documentation, including UL 2849 for e-bike electrical systems and UL 2272 where applicable
- Complete product specifications covering motor output, battery capacity, range estimates, weight limits, and maximum speed clearly stated
- Verifiable warranty support, so that if something fails, we can actually back it up
If a supplier cannot provide that documentation, the product does not go on the site. That is the whole policy.
What We Are Honest About
Electric trikes are not the right choice for everyone, and we would rather tell you that upfront than have you return a product that was never right for your situation.
- Our trikes are built for flat to moderately hilly terrain
- Steep climbs will reduce battery range faster than flat riding
- Most models weigh between 65 and 90 lbs
- Loading into vehicles may require two people or a ramp
- Range estimates vary depending on terrain, rider weight, weather, and throttle use
- Most models are designed for bike paths, campground roads, and neighborhood streets
We are clear about limitations as part of what good retail looks like. You should know exactly what you are buying before it arrives at your door.

When you buy from Unicorn Rus, you are buying from a store run by real people with real customer support and a commitment to service. If something arrives damaged, does not perform as described, or needs warranty assistance, you are dealing directly with us.
We respond to support emails within 1 to 2 business days. We do not disappear after the sale.
